A Love Story in Photos: Nicole and Michael
While I typically focus on family and children’s photography, capturing the love story of Nicole and Michael was a special opportunity that I was thrilled to be a part of. I joined them on their journey to the altar in May with a beautiful engagement session which then culminated into a beautiful wedding on June 29, 2024, at The Curry Estate in Fishkill, NY.
Engagement Session: Capturing the Beginning of Their Story
A month before their big day, I had the pleasure of photographing Nicole and Michael's engagement session in Beacon, NY. We chose a picturesque park overlooking the Hudson River with stunning mountain views. Their connection was evident in every moment, and the excitement they felt about their future together was undeniable. The serene location perfectly complemented their personalities, allowing their genuine connection to shine through each shot. From laughter-filled moments to the sweet moments they didn't even know I was capturing, their engagement photos beautifully set the stage for the wedding day. We clicked instantly and we had so much fun laughing and capturing their story. I already knew this was going to be a fun wedding to capture!
The Wedding Day: A Celebration of Love and Family at The Curry Estate
Nicole and Michael’s wedding day was filled with joy, love, and personal touches that made it truly memorable. The Curry Estate in Fishkill, NY, provided a stunning backdrop for their celebration. The venue is known for its picturesque grounds, with beautifully maintained gardens, mature trees, and scenic views that enhance any event. The excellent staff at The Curry Estate were attentive and professional, ensuring every detail was perfect. Their warm and welcoming atmosphere added to the special ambiance of the day.
One of the most heartwarming aspects of this day was the involvement of their family members in the ceremony. Michael's mom took on the role of officiant, adding a deeply personal touch to their vows. The ring bearer was none other than the family dog Milo, who stole the show in a tuxedo, making his grand entrance in a remote control car down the aisle. It was a delightful surprise that had everyone laughing smiling that set the tone for the joyful day ahead.
Before the ceremony, Nicole and Michael shared a first look. This private moment was filled with so much excitement and love. It just confirmed how deeply connected they are and the meaningful journey they were about to begin together. I am a big fan of first looks before the ceremony. I think its such a special time to see each other before the craziness starts, and have that moment together before you're both getting pulled in different directions. It also makes for beautiful photos!
As the ceremony took place, Michael's dad stood proudly as the best man, while Nicole's mom was right by her side as her maid of honor. Their support and love for the couple were evident throughout the day, adding an extra layer of warmth and connection to the celebration.
Nicole and Michael’s wedding was a testament to the power of love, family, and the joy of coming together to celebrate a union. I am grateful to have been a part of their special day and to share their story through my lens.
