What an Incredible Year It's Been!
Reflecting on this past year, I’m reminded that sleep and clean clothes are optional in this line of work—but wow, what a year it’s been! 2024 was a whirlwind of chaos, frosting, and fabulous moments. Huge thanks to my clients who made it all possible and trusted me not to trip over my own gear mid-session!
Let’s start with my ultimate favorite: cake smashes. Seriously, is there anything better than tiny humans absolutely destroying cakes with zero regrets? Nope. It’s messy, unpredictable, and an absolute blast every single time. If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that toddlers know how to party—and they’ll do it with frosting in their hair and a sugar-fueled grin.
Weddings were another highlight. There’s something magical about capturing two people promising forever while Aunt Gertrude sneaks champagne under her table. From first looks to first dances, weddings gave me all the feels and a lot of cardio (pro tip: photographers definitely get their steps in). Thank you for letting me crash your big day with my camera and mildly awkward dance moves.
Maternity sessions? Pure magic. Watching expectant parents glow (and occasionally waddle) as they get ready for their little one is a real treat. It’s an honor to capture the anticipation—and sometimes the hilarious chaos—of baby bumps and baby name debates. Seriously, some of your name choices were bold, but I’m here for it.
And then there’s newborn sessions, a.k.a. tiny baby royalty portraits. Capturing sleepy smiles and those teeny, tiny toes never gets old. Sure, there was a fair share of spit-up and diaper "surprises," but it’s all part of the gig. Shoutout to the parents for trusting me with their babies even when I’m singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” like my life depends on it.
Family sessions brought the perfect mix of laughter and "smile-or-else" vibes (we all know that one family member who refuses to cooperate). The organized chaos and spontaneous moments make for the best photos. Thank you for letting me document your love, sass, and occasionally your pets in holiday sweaters.
Looking back on 2024, I’ve learned, grown, and laughed a whole lot. Your trust means the world to me—and so does my ability to edit out any rogue double chins or tantrums. This year reminded me why I love what I do, even when I’m covered in glitter or cake crumbs.
And now, 2025 is just around the corner, and big things are coming! I’m rebranding and revamping to reflect all the new ideas brewing in my sleep-deprived brain. Get ready for some fresh changes—and yes, probably more frosting.
